Spring in Bangalore 2023

Spring in Bengaluru is February not March or April. March and April are summer months.

On the night of 30th January 2023 Indi and I saw a report on YouTube that a green comet will be visible in the sky on February 1st after 8 pm. So on the 1st we rushed to the terrace and we could barely see it. I could only see just a tiny green dot barely visible to the naked eye, if we looked near Orion which was on the south-eastern sky and we had to look very carefully. The next day February 2nd, the comet moved near the northern star and was not visible.

On the 4th, Mars and Jupiter came very close to each other.

There was a conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and the moon on the evening of 22nd February. It was visible from 6:30 to 8 pm, when the moon, Jupiter and Venus set.

There was a straight line alignment of the moon, Jupiter and Venus on the 23rd and 24th of February. On the 24th the alignment was less spectacular.
