Asha Sreedhar speaks to Print.Able about autism.
In this open and focussed conversation, she talks about first being diagnosed with autism as a child.
She goes on to share her experience of living with autism in different continents and countries with their very different cultural approaches and the impact this has on educational and work environments.
A vocal and active advocate for inclusivity, Asha's presentations have contributed to the sensitisation of society about autism.
Asha works at SAP Labs India Pvt. Ltd. (sometimes referred to in the conversation as simply SAP Labs Pvt. Ltd.) where her first presentation was an important one in creating awareness about autism.

Really happy to hear that Asha found people friendly, empathetic and accomodating in India. But we do need so much more awareness about autism. And inclusion in mainstream schools is the only way..
ReplyDeleteIt's a much tougher battle for non- verbal autistic children. They get very marginalized. Here's hoping this interview with Asha will give people a better , more positive perspective about autism.
