Interview: Experiencing Inclusion in Social Work

Print Able interviewed Shrusti Raj, a young man with a passion for social work. He has been associated with an NGO called Youth for Parivarthan (YFP) for about eleven years.

“Before we focused only on Mandala arts. …then we did portraits. We started off with Swami Vivekananda, Mysore Maharaja Wodeyar and celebrities like Puneeth Rajkumar… The idea was that with the art on the wall, it will reduce littering and discourage people from urinating in public”

He also shared that Prime Minister Modi appreciated the work done by YFP in his Mann ki Baat.

A former student of Brindavan Education Trust, he shared his experience of volunteering for Youth for Parivarthan (YFP), a community-driven NGO dedicated to environmental conservation and social empowerment through collective action.

He completed his graduation in Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore and is now pursuing his Masters in St Aloysius, Mangalore.
