Interview: Srinesh Bhowmick
Srinesh Bhowmik is a student of Class 10 at the Brindavan Education Society in Bengaluru.
He has shared two poems with us with us on Print.Able: 'Diamonds and Emeralds' and 'When Things Fall Apart.' Here he engages with us in a brief interview.
Print.Able: Srinesh, when we posted your poem Diamonds and Emeralds on Print.Able it
received a lot of appreciation. Do you write a lot of poetry?
Srinesh: I write poetry whenever I get inspiration from my surroundings, which, to be very
honest, is really rare. I like to write in my free time.
Question: Does writing come naturally to you or do you also train yourself by reading other
writers and poets?
Srinesh: I train myself from also reading the works of other authors and poets. But what I
like to read is murder mysteries, adventures, fantasy.
Question: If you had to name two persons who inspire you, who would they be?
Srinesh: No one. I can’t think of anyone who inspires me as such. My favourite author in
Middle School used to be J.K.Rowling. Now I like to read Satyajit Ray and Ruskin Bond.
You are very talented Srinesh. More power to you. Keep the poet in you always alive.
ReplyDeleteHi Srinesh!
ReplyDeleteI like your candid responses and your choice of authors you appreciate too. Have you read 'To kill a mocking bird' by Harper lee? I think that you'll like it too. Happy reading, writing, living!
