 When Things Fall Apart

by Srinesh Bhowmick

Some of you may remember Srinesh Bhowmick as the author of that beautiful poem,
'Emeralds and Diamonds'. Srinesh is a student of Class 10 at the Brindavan Education Society in Bengaluru. Here, he shares another meaningful poem with us.

When Things Fall Apart Apart

I’m sorry for the hurt I’ve caused
For breaking trust without a pause.
My actions wounded, cut so deep,
Leaving scars that make you weep.

I wish I could rewind the time,
Erase the pain, make things right, sublime.
But words alone cannot undo
The damage done, the trust I blew.

I’ll strive to be the friend you once knew,
Whose loyalty was pure, whose heart was true.
With every step I’ll prove my change,
In hope our bond can rearrange.

Though shadows linger dark and vast,
Together we can move the past.
For every tear, a vow I’ll make,
To learn, to grow, for friendship’s sake.
