My Hobbies by Sujan B R My name is Sujan B R. I will write about my hobbies. My hobbies are playing keyboard, juggling and drawing.  I started learning keyboard five years back. At first learning keyboard was difficult; later it became easy. It took a lot of time and practice to learn keyboard. I practice keyboard on alternative days. Once a week I have online music class on Skype with my music teacher Preetham Sir. Few of the songs that I can play on the keyboard are Bombe Helutaithe, Sunroof, Rasputin, Om Namo Narayana, Pink Panther, Fur Elise and Seven Years. Seven years back I started learning to juggle. There was a person called KKR he taught me how to juggle three balls. In the morning I practice juggling. Drawing: There was a person called Mohan Sir. Our Future! Is on the Right Path? by Varun

Our Future! Is on the Right Path? by  Varun The world’s getting intolerant and becoming a dangerous place to live in! War, genocide, torture everywhere we look, the news channels headlines are “air strikes kill 10 people including children”, we as a species are hell bent on annihilating ourselves and I don’t know why that’s happening, countries start wars for territory, people are murdered in the name if religion! As a species we’ve evolved and have a great deal of intelligence on what’s going to happen if we continue the ruthless killings, we’re aiming for the stars, interstellar travel and we aim to avoid extinction but by recent events I’m not sure if we’ll survive survive extinction, any intelligent species after us would name our extinction “Greed - The fall of Humanity”! Why can’t we make a pact and learn to live in peace, greed certainly can be defeated, we just need to look deeper into ourselves and bring out the hidden empathic nature! * Varun  Bookworm, aspiring writer (not t

Spring in Bangalore, 2023 by Ajit Chandrasekhar

Spring in Bangalore 2023 by  Ajit Chandrasekhar Spring in Bengaluru is February not March or April. March and April are summer months. On the night of 30th January 2023 Indi and I saw a report on YouTube that a green comet will be visible in the sky on February 1st after 8 pm. So on the 1st we rushed to the terrace and we could barely see it. I could only see just a tiny green dot barely visible to the naked eye, if we looked near Orion which was on the south-eastern sky and we had to look very carefully. The next day February 2nd, the comet moved near the northern star and was not visible.  On the 4th, Mars and Jupiter came very close to each other. There was a conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and the moon on the evening of 22nd February. It was visible from 6:30 to 8 pm, when the moon, Jupiter and Venus set. There was a straight line alignment of the moon, Jupiter and Venus on the 23rd and 24th of February. On the 24th the alignment was less spectacular. Sep 12, 2023 Original text in Aj
